Can you recommend a packaging solution if I do not know the material structure?

Yes. We can recommend a structure based on the contents, barrier requirements, filling process, storage temperature, shelf life, transportation conditions, target market, and recycling goals. An initial solution can normally be proposed within 48 hours after sufficient project information is received.

What packaging features can be customized?

Custom options include dimensions, thickness, material structure, printing, zipper closures, spouts, tear notches, hanging holes, transparent windows, easy-peel seals, resealable features, and special shapes. Some accessories or special shapes may require tooling.

What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

There is no single MOQ for every product. It depends on the material, dimensions, printing method, number of designs, pouch type, and required accessories. Digital printing may be considered for some small-batch or proofing projects because it does not require printing plates.

What is the normal production lead time?

Regular orders generally take 15–20 working days. The final lead time depends on material availability, production quantity, printing requirements, pouch complexity, and accessories. It should be confirmed when the order specifications are finalized.

Can you provide samples or proofs before mass production?

Yes. The suitable proofing method depends on whether the customer needs to verify dimensions, material, structure, printing color, or finished-pouch functionality. The sample method, cost, and lead time are confirmed for each project.

How are printing colors confirmed?

Customers should provide Pantone color codes or physical color samples. A proof can be prepared for confirmation before mass production, and an agreed color standard can be used for production control.

What artwork information is required?

Please provide editable, high-resolution artwork and clearly identify Pantone colors, barcodes, QR codes, regulatory text, transparent areas, and any variable information. The dieline, bleed, safe area, sealing area, and accessory position should be confirmed against the final package dimensions.

Can packaging be designed for automatic filling machines?

Yes. Roll width, repeat length, core size, winding direction, sealing layer, coefficient of friction, and other machine-related parameters can be matched to the filling and sealing equipment. Customers should provide the packaging-machine specifications when possible.

What types of flexible packaging films are available?

What is PE film?

PE, or polyethylene film, is a lightweight and flexible plastic film widely used as a sealing or inner contact layer. Depending on the grade and structure, it can provide moisture resistance, toughness, low-temperature performance, and heat-sealing properties.

What is MDOPE film?

MDOPE is machine-direction-oriented polyethylene film. Orientation improves stiffness, strength, dimensional stability, and printability compared with conventional PE. It is commonly used as an outer layer in all-PE recyclable packaging structures.

What is BOPE film?

BOPE is biaxially oriented polyethylene film. It combines high strength, puncture resistance, transparency, and moisture resistance and can help build mono-PE recyclable packaging structures.

What is BOPP film?

BOPP is biaxially oriented polypropylene film. It offers good transparency, gloss, stiffness, moisture resistance, and printability. Depending on the application, it may be laminated with a separate heat-sealing layer.

What is CPP film?

CPP is cast polypropylene film. It is soft, impact-resistant, and heat-sealable, making it a common inner layer in laminated packaging. Available variants include lamination-grade, retort, low-temperature sealing, inflatable, and metallized CPP films.

What is a high-barrier film?

A high-barrier film is designed to reduce the transmission of oxygen, water vapor, aroma, oil, or light. Barrier performance may be achieved with aluminum foil, metallized layers, EVOH, PA, PVA coatings, or multi-layer composite structures.

How is film barrier performance evaluated?

What is a vacuum-metallized film?

A vacuum-metallized film is a plastic film with a thin aluminum layer deposited on its surface under vacuum. It provides metallic appearance and improved barrier performance while remaining lighter and more flexible than solid aluminum foil.

What is the difference between metallized film and aluminum foil?

Metallized film uses a very thin deposited aluminum layer and offers a balance of appearance, barrier performance, flexibility, and cost. Aluminum foil provides a much stronger light, oxygen, and moisture barrier but usually requires lamination with plastic films for strength and heat sealing.

What are common laminated rollstock structures?

Typical examples include BOPP/PE for economical moisture-resistant packaging, PET/VMPET/PE for metallic appearance and higher barrier, PET/AL/CPP for light protection and high-temperature applications, and PET/AL/PA/CPP for high toughness, puncture resistance, and retort applications.

What is heat-sealing performance?

Heat-sealing performance is the ability of a film to bond under controlled heat and pressure. Seal initiation temperature, seal strength, sealing window, and contamination resistance can affect packing-line efficiency and package integrity. PE and CPP are common sealing-layer materials.

What parameters should be provided when ordering plastic film?

Please specify the material or structure, thickness, width, roll diameter, core size, winding direction, treatment side, color or transparency, printing requirements, application, and special properties such as barrier, anti-static, retort, freezer, easy-peel, or recyclable performance.

How should plastic film rolls be stored?

Store rolls indoors in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight, excessive heat, low temperatures, and moisture. Keep the rolls in their original protective packaging and use first-in, first-out inventory control. Nylon-containing films require particular protection from humidity.

Why can printing ink peel or stick on plastic films?

Possible causes include insufficient surface treatment, declining surface tension, unsuitable ink, incomplete drying, excessive winding tension, or excessive temperature. Film surface treatment and production parameters should be verified before printing.

What recyclable flexible packaging structures are available?
